The redevelopment of court one has now begun, tree roots have been dug out, net post holes dug and edging broken up. In about 6 weeks we should have a great new facility for our juniors comprising of 4 mini tennis courts.
Tarmac now relaid and we enter the three week cure phase before further work can continue.

I very much feel like the new boy here having only been in post for such a short amount of time, even though I first joined The Weald as long ago as 1988, back in the days when I could actually play tennis. Coaches and players from The Weald attended the annual LTA Awards Evening at the AMEX Stadium recently. The event showcases the successes of everyone in the County at all levels, with awards for individuals and teams, including most improved players, volunteers, coaches and lifetime achievements.
