Narrow defeats for Mens 3rd's and 6th's.

The Mens 3rd and 6th Teams were in action on Saturday with both teams losing 1-3. However, there was an encouraging debut from Louie West(13)with inexperieced partner, Arthur Hill as they battled to a 6-2 7-6 win over Devonshire Park's 2nd pair of their 2nd team in a Mens 6th team. The youngsters lost to the 1st pair 2-6 1-6, and team mates, John Hole and Ashley Parrott lost both,losing out to the 2nd pair in 3 sets. The Mens 3rds went down 3-1 at Seaford with 2 surprise defeats for Colin Titshall & Peter Cuthbertson and with only one win from Adrian Rutherford & Mark Stafford the team lost narrowly. The Ladies 1st team match on Sunday fell victim to the persistent rain!.

Meanwhile in the Pavillion & Avenue Junior Open Claudia James made the semi finals of the 14/u event before loosing to the eventual winner.
